The rhino is considered one of the most outstanding works of theater of the absurd. Written in 1959 by Eugène Ionesco, is a dramatic fable about the spread and social acceptance of totalitarianism.
The action takes place in a small provincial town, where one day a rhinoceros appears that disrupts the peaceful life of its inhabitants, who are converting into robust pachyderms. All but one, Berenguer, who resists the metamorphosis.
This production, directed by Joan Joan Fullana and with dramaturgy by Joan Yago, is a production of the Teatre Principal de Palma in collaboration with the Auditorium of Paguera. Music direction by Josep Oliver and music by Gori Matas. Interpreted by Luca Bonadei, Miquel Gelabert, Margalida Grimalt, Clara Ingold, Albert Mèlich, Josep Orfila, Rosa Serra and Xim Vidal.
