Following verse by verse the work of Víctor Gayà, the composer Mercè Pons has composed the piece Requiem for string quartet, which is now premiered at the Mar i Terra Municipal Theater with dramatized reading. This Rèquiem is a translation into the musical language of the poetic text on which it is based.
The concert is part of the Winter Season of Classical Music Concerts and the Quartet Studium Aureum participates under the direction of Carles Ponseti, integrated by Ramon Andreu (violin I9, Ricardo Duato (violin II), María José Gómez de la Vega (viola ) and Miquel Àngel Aguiló (violoncello) with Joan Carles Simó as narrator and presented by Eulari Arlès.
