The Symphonic Orchestra Illes Balears, conducted by its holder Pablo Mielgo, and the Coral Universitat de les Illes Balears, under the direction of Joan Company, offer this benefit concert at the Cathedral of Mallorca to benefit Projecte Home. As soloist will perform mezzo-soprano Sandra McMaster.
The Requiem Opus 9 is the best known work of French composer Maurice Duruflé (1902-1986). Composed in 1947 for chorus, soloists and orchestra, it is heavily influenced by Gregorian chant and Renaissance music.
