This play, co-produced by the Majorcan companies Res de Res and Artigues has been awarded the Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (held from 3 to 27 August in the Scottish capital) as the best creation of physical and visual theater. Remor lasts only eleven minutes and develops inside a wooden and iron cube , designed as scenic space and at the same time as an art installation.
Marta Miquel Barceló and Joan Artigues, its creators, directors and performers, conceived this little work a year ago inside a cell of the former Palma jail, of which the furniture is now used in the performances. The original music is Joana Gomila.
After his success in Edinburgh, Remor toured Italy, Austria, China, Ireland and the UK. Now is part of the Catalan program Illescena fair, organized by the Association of Performing Arts of the Balearic Islands with the aim of presenting theatrical production outside of the islands.
