This Israeli virtuoso pianist is a specialist in the works of Chopin, especially the one created by the Polish composer during his stay in Valldemossa in the winter of 1838-1839 with George Sand and Maurice, the son of the French writer.
He released Chopin-Mallorca-Rogoff, two CDs containing the complete works of Chopin at this time and notes on them by Ilan Rogoff himself as well as excerpts from the composer's life and his relationship with George Sand.
The Sala Dante pays tribute to the Israeli pianist who resides in Palma since more than two decades, this audiovisual concert entitled El viaje de Chopin a Mallorca (Chopin's journey to Mallorca). Rogoff interprets these works in chronological order.
