American film carried out by two directors of Egyptian origin, Jehane Noujaim and Mona Eldaief. It tells the story of the physical and emotional journey of Rafea to India to attend a program for training in solar engineering aimed at illiterate women worldwide.
Rafea is a Bedouin woman who lives with her four daughters in one of the poorest towns in the desert of Jordan, on the border with Iraq. Her challenge will be to break with the traditional mindset that relegates women to her house and serve the husband. The documentary shows the power of education against the force of tradition. The projection is provided in the original version in Arabic and English, subtitled in Catalan.
