'Profesor Lazhar'

Canadian film (2011) written and directed by Philippe Falardeau, was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign language film and  multiawarded in festivals of Toronto, Locarno and Valladolid.

Bachir Lazhar, 55 and Algerian descent, is hired as a substitute for an elementary school teacher who died in tragic circumstances at a school in Montreal. The charisma and the particular way of teaching of Lazhar  will be essential to take the course forward and change the life of his young students.

A film that says that if knowledge is not accompanied by a sense of values and ethics it does not serve to prepare people.
