Port d’Alcudia celebrates this festival each year in tribute to the men of the sea. The celebrations last a week and there is all kind of leisure, cultural and gastronomic activities, such as the traditional toast of sardines.
The most famous moment in the procession is when fishermen walk barefoot holding oars and nets, together with the image of san Pedro after removing it from the church. They then take it in a marine procession through the bay with adorned boats and make sound with their sirens.
This festival is also celebrated in San Pedro y San Pablo in Alaró, Andratx, Búger, Colònia de Sant Pere (Artà), Esporles, Port de Pollença (Pollença), Port de Sóller (Sóller) and Sencelles.
