The researcher and specialist in military architecture Angel Aparicio is the author of this book that tells the whole story of the castle of Cabrera, from its Muslim beginnings to the present day.
Aparicio, a founding member and president of the Group for the Study of the Fortifications in the Balearic Islands, has made an exhaustive documentation to describe the architectural changes experienced by the fortress throughout its history and also halts to describe the most human, everyday life aspects of the people who have inhabited the island in conditions of extreme isolation.
El Castell de l'Illa de Cabrera (The Castle of the Island of Cabrera), published by Edicions Documenta Balear this month of July, also contains 24 pages with color illustrations.
