El Consell de Mallorca convoca estos premios de creación literaria que tienen por objetivo fomentar la escritura en lengua catalana. Se crearon en 2005 y, tras suspenderse en 2012, fueron recuperados nuevamente en 2016 estableciendo tres categorías: Narrativa, Poesía y Ensayo, ésta última añadida en la convocatoria de 2017.
