'Premis Ciutat de Manacor 2021’

The Delegació d'Educació i Cultura del Ajuntament de Manacor announces its 2021 Ciutat de Manacor Awards for novels, poetry, theater and essays in the Catalan language. This present edition also includes the Music category, with the Premi Ciutat de Manacor de Música d'Autor Guillem d'Efak.

The works must be original and unpublished, and may be presented until April 22, 2021 at the Antoni M. Alcover Public Institution.

The awards are as follows:

Premi Ciutat de Manacor de Novel·la Maria Antònia Oliver
Modality: free-themed novel in Catalan
Endowment: € 5,000

Premi Ciutat de Manacor for Poetry Miquel Àngel Riera
Modality: free-themed poetry in Catalan
Endowment: € 3,000

Premi Ciutat de Manacor for Teatre Jaume Vidal i Alcover
Modality: dramatic texts in Catalan with a free theme
Endowment: € 4,000

Premi Ciutat de Manacor d’Assaig Antoni Maria Alcover
Modality: informative essay in Catalan of cultural or linguistic interest that contributes to deepening and making known the values of the culture, history or philosophy of the Balearic Islands. The disseminating nature of the work will be valued in such a way that it may be of interest to a public not specialized in the matter.
Endowment: € 3,000

Premi Ciutat de Manacor de Música d'Autor Guillem d'Efak
Modality: Groups and soloists who make author music, who sing in Catalan and are new values ??of the scene
Endowment:
€ 3,000 to the winning group or soloist
€ 1,000 to each of the two finalists

The winning works will be announced at a public ceremony held by the Antoni Maria Alcover Institution. Check the bases.
