The City Council of Algaida convenes these awards since 1968 on the occasion of the celebration of la Pau de Castellitx. Three subject areas are covered: literature, research and photography. In the literature area three awards are established, all of them for texts in Catalan: XXXVIII Premi de Poesia, XXXVIII Premi de Narració Curta, XXXVI Premi Llorenç ‘Móra’ de Poesia Popular (Glosat) and II Premi Juvenil de Narració Curta (for 14 to 17 years).
The XVIII Premi d'Investigació Castellitx is for a research project written in the Catalan language and with subjects related to the municipality of Algaida in any area. The XIII Prize of Photography is with free choice of topic and supports, with possibility to present the photos in black and white or in color.
The deadline for submission of works is Monday, January 20, 2014. All prizes have a cash prize of 500 euros.
