Since ten years, the Festival Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla offers in its program an International Seminar of jazz led by the Traveling School run by Jimmy Weinstein. It is aimed at instrumentalists and vocalists with a minimum of three years of music study and is a unique opportunity to learn to improvise and interact within the group.
Students who began in the first editions are now professional musicians and many of them provide interesting musical and artistic projects.
Playjazz Group unites eight musicians onstage who have passed through the Traveling seminars School in Sa Pobla. All full of life, eager to seek and find their own identity and share this vital joy with the audience.
The musicians involved are: Teo Salvá (drums and percussion), Llorens Barceló (piano and keyboards), Tomeu Garcias (trombone), Joan Garcias (bass), Joe Morello (trumpet), Fabio Tiralongo (sexaos and flute), Salvo Scucces (vibraphone) and Alessandro Borgia (drums and percussion).
Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla 2015 will be held from August 4 to 8 to program five concerts, the International Jazz Seminar and an exhibition of illustrations by Jaume Salvadiego.
