This young and versatile pianist performs throughout the world as a soloist with orchestra, chamber music pianist and as a concert musician, like he does now in Mallorca. As pianist of the prestigious Garnati Trio – started from the Barenboim-Said Foundation - Tommaso Cogato obtained wide recognition in 2009 with his interpretation of the Concerto No. 2 by Johannes Brahms at the Piano Festival in Barletta with the Symphony Orchestra of the Balkans.
The program he now offers includes works by Mozart, Chopin, Thalberg / Verdi, Albeniz and Granados.
This concert is part of the Classical Music Festival of la Torre de Canyamel, an initiative launched this summer which aims to enrich the cultural offer of the municipality of Arta. The Torre Canyamel (Canyamel Tower), built in the mid-thirteenth century, is one of the most singular buildings of its kind in Europe and unique in Mallorca. It has a square floor plan and follows the lines of the Gothic. The area also features ancient buildings of the early settlers dating back to 1000 BC.
