‘Perfect Stranger'

This is the title of the first feature film by Mallorcan Toni Bestard, which is projected as the highlight of a double session of cinema. First the short film 11 años, 5 meses y 8 dias (11 years, 5 months and 8 days), by Jaume Pujol will be shown, which dramatizes the intergenerational clash between a grandfather and grandson.

Bestard’s film interpreted by the Irish actor Colm Meany narrates the arrival of a mysterious character to a small Majorcan village, where he settles in the premises of an old abandoned commerce. Following the two films a debate will be opened with the participation of the directors and some of the actors, moderated by film critic Josep Antoni Mendiola.
