The Menorcan guitarist, composer and teacher Pere Arguimbau arrives at the Jazz Palma 2021 Festival with his trio format and a repertoire of original compositions that recall the jazz airs of the 50s and 60s of the last century.
Together with Pere Arguimbau (guitar) the trio is made up of Lluis Gener (double bass) and Guillem Pons (drums). Trained in tradition, they seek the sound of the classic trios of the genre, influenced by names such as Jim Hall, Barney Kessel, Ray Brown, Paul Chambers, Philly Jo Jones or Roy Haynes.
