This Polish interpreter has been awarded numerous national and international awards, among them, the Special Prize for Best Polish interpreter at the Warsaw Chopin Competition 2010.
Pawel Wakarecy (Torun, 1987) participates in the XXXIII International Chopin Festival being held in the cloister of the Valldemossa Charterhouse with a program dedicated almost entirely to the Polish composer that names the festival: Polonaise in A major, Op 40, No. 1, Nocturne in E minor, Op 72, 4 Mazurkas, Op 24, Polonaise in F sharp minor, Op 44; Ballade in G minor, Op 23; Great Waltz in E flat major, Op 18, and Scherzo in B flat minor, Op 31.
The program is completed with two pieces of Ignacy Jan Paderwski (1860-1941): Romantic Scenes, Op.10 Au Soir and Polonaise in B major.
