This past July was in Pollença with his new project, the quartet Paul Collins Beat. Now, this singer, guitarist, drummer and music producer is presented in Can Monroig in acoustic concert. Paul Collins (New York, 1954) began his career as a percussionist in The Nerves, a trio of power pop that brought songs like Hanging on the Telephone, which later shot to fame the New York band Blondie. After the dissolution of The Nerves, in the late seventies Collins formed his own group, The Beat, which can be considered the precursor of Indie rock. From the eighties his life has been closely linked to Spain, where he produced many pop bands such as the Mallorcan La Granja, Los Limones or Los Protones.
