Opening concert of the XII Festival Música Mallorca, with the artistic direction of Toyo Masanori Tanaka, featuring the Capella Mallorquina, directed by José María Moreno, the Orchester des Staatstheaters Philharmonisches Cottbus, conducted by Evan Christ and six soloists.
The program is entitled Mediterranean Passions and consists of Spanish Symphony in D minor op. 21 for violin and orchestra by Edouard Lalo, with Alican Süner as soloist on violin, and Cavalleria Rusticana concertante by Pietro Mascagni, with the participation of Maria Luisa Corbacho (mezzo-soprano), Joel Montero (tenor), Andrea Jäpel (baritone), Debra Stanley (soprano) and Eva Maria Santana (mezzo-soprano).
