The young Norwegian drummer, composer and singer Siv Øyunn Kjenstad approaches different musical styles - jazz, pop-rock, alternative music, contemporary music, improvisation and electronica - to endow them with a characteristic creative approach.

She began her musical career at the age of 19 with Batagraf, a band she joined alongside pianist and composer Jon Balke. Since then he has worked with acclaimed musicians and bands such as Bugge Wesseltoft, with whom she participates in New Conception of Jazz.

At the Alternatilla Jazz festival she performs with Jo Berger Myhre: (double bass) and Christian Pehrson Balvig (keyboards and piano).
