A lyrical proposal at the Vila de Santanyí International Music Festival. With the Illes Balears Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Pablo Mielgo, the tenor Uwe Stickert and the horn José Francisco Fortea.
German tenor Uwe Stickert studied at the Franz Liszt Conservatory. He attracted international attention as Raoul in Meyerbeer's Huguenots in Nice and with La fille du regiment in Shanghai. At Madrid's Teatro Real he sang Zimmermann's Soldaten, and in Avignon he debuted in 2021 as Peter Grimes. He regularly performs baroque music with Ludwig Güttler at the Frauenkirche in Dresden and with Adam Fischer in Budapest and Düsseldorf.
For his part, the Spanish horn player José Francisco Fortea (Benaguasil, 1976) graduated from the Conservatori Superior de Música de València in 1996. He taught at the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, at the Calahorra Conservatory (La Rioja) and, in 2009, He joined the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands, where he currently occupies the position of soloist.
