The Symphony Orchestra Illes Balears celebrates the 30th anniversary of its creation with this concert directed by Pablo Mielgo and with the participation of mezzo-soprano María José Montiel.
The concert repeats the same program performed at the first concert in 1989: May, by E. Toldrà; Song of Grumet, by E. Toldrà; The iron ring, Preludi, by P.M. Marquis; Carmen 'L'amour est un oiseau rebelle', by G. Bizet; Carmen 'Près des remparts de Seville', by G. Bizet; Samson et Dalila, Dansa bacanal, of C. Saint-Saëns; Samson et Dalila 'Mon Coeur s’ouvre a ta voix', by C. Saint-Saëns; and Symphony no. 3 “Scottish”, F. Mendelssohn.
