The head of the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands 'Ciutat de Palma', Josep Vicent, directs this first concert of the 2013-2014 season. A cycle of twelve concerts will once again stage the Palma Auditorium, after passing through the Teatre Principal.
Thus, the 'Ciutat de Palma' gets back to its official activity after four months on strike in protest against budget cuts suffered by the official orchestra of the Balearics.
The program includes the Beethoven Symphony No. 7, Concerto No. 1 for piano and orchestra by Tchaikovsky and Dvorak Carnabal Overture.
