First concert of the Season 2014/2015 of the Symphony Orchestra 'Ciutat de Palma', now in its 25th year, it is directed by Paul Mielgo, who along with Joji Hattori are the new chief conductors of the orchestra after the abrupt cessation of Josep Vicent.
The dismissal of the Valencian director has forced a change in the line-up of this inaugural concert. The dancer Ginesa Ortega, who participated in El amor brujo by Manuel de Falla, canceled last September 17 her performance in solidarity with Vicent, replaced by Carmen Linares.
Apart from El amor brujo, the program consists of Carmen Suites No. 1 & 2, by Bizet, and El sombrero de tres picos by Manuel de Falla.
