The first appointment of the XVIII Music Festival Castell de Bellver has as conductor and soloist on violin Joji Hattori (Tokyo, 1969), one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation. The program consists of The Merry Wives of Windson, overture, by O. Nicolai, Violin Concerto No. 4, by WA Mozart and Symphony No. 4 by P. I. Tchaikovsky.
Bellver Castle is once again the venue for this festival starring the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands. After having been celebrated for seventeen years it was interrupted in 2013 due to the difficult economic situation the orchestra was passing.
