The conductor Pablo Mielgo directs this ninth concert of the subscription season of the Balearic Symphony Orchestra. As soloist will perform French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard (Lyon, 1957), who is very committed to contemporary music.
The program consists of The enchanted lake, of Anatoly Lyadov, Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 2 op. 19, of L.V. Beethoven, and Symphony No. 5 op. 100, which the Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev conceived as an expression of the greatness of the human spirit.
