Performance of the Orchestra Acadèmia 1830 within the concert season of Teatre Principal de Palma, in which they will interpret works for string orchestra . The program consists of Serenata op. 20 by Elgar Estampas de Mallorca op. 27 by Leon , Little suite op. 1 by Nielsen and Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in F minor op. 21 by Chopin, featuring as soloist on piano Andreu Riera.
Orchestra Acadèmia 1830, directed by Fernando Marina, was created two years ago and is made up of young professionals and first-rate musicians of Mallorca. It is a flexible and variable formation, which allows it to address a wide symphonic repertoire, from Beethoven to baroque, classical music or composed in the twentieth century.
The orchestra is part of the musical association Acadèmia 1830 whose objective is the dissemination of the large repertoire of classical music in the Balearic Islands, and which also has a choir formation. This enables them to address both the vocal and instrumental genres.
