Cap Clar (The Changes, 2023) is the latest work by Catalan trumpeter Oriol Vallès, which he now presents with his quartet in the first concert of the Alcúdia Jazz 2023 festival.
The album is conceived and recorded in two parts: the central suite, which is an echo of the confinement experienced during the pandemic; and the three remaining pieces, recorded months later: A-symptotos, Heh and Cap Clar.
Oriol Vallès (trumpet), Andreu Pitarch (drums), Xavi Torres (piano) and Giuseppe Campins (double bass).
The Alcúdia Jazz 2023 festival is held from September 9 to 23 and in this edition it programs three concerts, two at the Auditori d'Alcúdia and one free at the Passeig Marítim of Port d'Alcúdia.
