Second appointment with the Tardor 2021 classical music cycle in Manacor. The concert is held in the church of Fartàritx and will be in charge of the Octet 'Arxiduc', with a program entirely dedicated to the Octet in F major, D. 803 by Franz Schubert.
The work was written by the Austrian composer in 1824, in the same period as two of his great chamber works: the string quartets Rosamunde and Death and the Maiden.
Written for clarinet, bassoon, horn, two violins, viola, cello, and double bass, this Octet is the most diverse in instrumentation among Shubert's chamber music.
The Octet 'Arxiduc' is made up of Nina Heidenreich and Paula Marqués (violins), Lluís Oliver (viola), Felipe Temes (cello), Philip Dawson (double bass), Eduardo Bernabeu (clarinet), Nigel Carter (horn) and Gerard Beltran ( bassoon).
The Tardor 2021 classical music cycle is organized by the Culture area of ??the Manacor City Council and is held from November 1 to December 12, with four free concerts that take place in the Convent church, the Fartàritx church and the Auditori of the Conservatory of Manacor.
