'Nous nocturns', a rereading of Mozart

Third concert of the XLII Encontre Internacional de Compositors. Cornucòpia, trio of corni di bassetto, together with singers Irene Gili, Pilar Riera and Miquel Company present the proposal Nous nocturns, a program that revolves around the nocturnal KV 346, 436-439 and 549 that WA Mozart wrote for this peculiar formation vocal and instrumental.

This concert is the premiere of six commissions made by Cornucòpia to six composers from the Balearic Islands and Catalonia: Mercè Pons, Josep M. Guix, Anna Gabriel Oliver and Cristina Vilallonga.

The work of these creators part of the Mozartian repertoire, revised in the particular language of each one of them.

Performers: Irene Gili (soprano), Pilar Riera (alto) and Miquel Company (bass).

Program: Six nocturnes for two sopranos and bass, accompanied by three corni di bassetto, KV 426, 437-439a and 549, by W. A. Mozart; and Nous nocturns.
