The Fartàritx neighborhood will be filled with art on October 1 in the first edition of the Nit de l'Art organized by the Manacor Town Hall. More than 70 artists and craftsmen from different artistic disciplines will occupy public and private spaces with the aim of bringing contemporary local creation closer to the public.
One of the spaces that will be open to the public at this Nit de l'Art is the Molí d'en Roca, headquarters of the Cofradia dels Tastavins since 1988, one of the collaborating entities with the Associació de Veïnats de Fartàritx.
All disciplines will be represented at this art festival: painting, sculpture, artistic installations, theater and music.
Thus, Comtessa Street (between the two mills) will host a space dedicated to theater; A large part of the outdoor plastic art exhibition will be on display in Carrer del Remi and Carrer de Gelabert, and it will also be the location for various craft stalls.
Carrer del Llum will be the setting for an outdoor exhibition with more than a dozen painters, while Carrer de la Creu will be dedicated to children's activities and Carrer Colom will have a space for independent music. In addition to these public spaces, up to a dozen private spaces participate in this Nit de l'Art, including private houses and windmills, which are offered as unique settings for different artistic proposals.
Music will also be very present and the place chosen for it is Plaça de la Concòrdia, the scene of concerts of jazz, rock and electronic music. There will also be a space for food trucks and craft beer bars and other drinks, which will make this Saturday night a magical evening.
