Memorial de Cante de Mis Bodas de Plata con el Flamenco (2021) is a ten-inch vinyl recorded by Niño de Elche in a live session with the first guitarist who accompanied him on stage, Paco Javier Jimeno. He now presents it at the Paco de Lucía Festival together with guitarists Raúl Cantizano and Mariano Campallo.
His real name is Francisco Contreras Molina, but he is known by the artistic name of Niño de Elche, the city of Alicante where he was born in 1985. Considered by critics to be one of the greatest current renovators of flamenco, his work is difficult to classify within a single genre, since it mixes genres such as jazz or electronic music.
His work is also linked to other artistic disciplines such as performance, poetry, dance or audiovisual.
The Festival Paco de Lucía Palma Flamenca is organized by the Palma City Council, the Consell de Mallorca, Teatre Principal and the Paco de Lucía Foundation. It is held from March 9 to 13 for the benefit of the Paco de Lucía Foundation and schedules two concerts at the Teatre Principal and three at the Teatre Municipal Xesc Forteza, in addition to other parallel activities.
