Niño de Elche

Antología del cante flamenco heterodoxo is the new work by Niño de Elche, one of the artists who has contributed the most to flamenco in recent times. In his presentation at the Teatre Principal de Palma, the cantaor is accompanied by Raúl Cantizano on guitar and percussion.

It was considered the most controversial show at the Flamenco Biennial 2018 held last September. In Antología del cante flamenco heterodoxo (Anthology of the heterodox flamenco cante) Paco Contreras (Elche, 1985)  gives free rein to his particular vision of cante jondo and turns it upside down again.

A new molotov cocktail that will reinvent different styles through its particular prism: saetas, fandangos, seguiriyas or tanguillos will be transformed into sound 'tetris'. His sense of humor does not weaken his powerful political message.
