Badiaa Bouhrizi, better known as Neyssatou, is the leader of the Tunisian indie scene. A versatile and committed artist who was banned during the dictatorship of Ben Ali.
Her songs blend the sweetness of her voice with the strength of the lyrics and the density of classical Arabic melodies with jazz, reggae, soul and Berber folk. Winner in 2011 of Arabic alternative song the award and recognized by the cultural organization Al Mawred Al Thaqafy, successful Neyssatou has crossed the borders of Tunisia and the Arab world to reach Europe with force.
Neyssatou (voice and electro-acoustic guitar) performs accompanied by Wissem Ziadi (violin and vocals) and Malek Ben Halim (electroacoustic percussion and guitar).
