Natalia Salom & Jonathan Alder

Es Forti de Cala d'Or is the stage of the penultimate concert of the IV International Music Festival Vila de Santanyí. Featuring the young Mallorcan soprano Natalia Salom, accompanied on piano by Jonathan Alder.

Natalia Salom has studied singing in Mallorca and Madrid and currently continues her training in Berlin with mezzo-soprano Janice Alder. Among her distinctions are included the first prize in the IV Young Performers Competition organized by the Wagnerian Association of Madrid and the XXXII International Singing Competition City of Logroño.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Alder enjoys great prestige as a pianist and has performed with internationally renowned artists including tenor Placido Domingo at leading festivals in Europe, Asia and America. Since 1989 he works closely with the Berlin Philharmonic and is professor of lieder and oratorio at the University of the Arts of the German capital.

The International Music Festival Vila de Santanyí is coordined by the pianist Miquel Estelrich and organized by the city council. Held until September and the collection of all concerts will go to social and conservation and dissemination of musical heritage of  Mallorca projects.
