The Japanese pianist Naruhiko Kawaguchi is the protagonist of the new concert of the XIV International Festival of Classical Music Pianino 2023. The concert is held in the Frédéric Chopin and George Sand Cell of the Cartuja de Valldemossa with a Pleyel piano from 1851.
Naruhiko Kawaguchi has won first prizes in competitions around the world, such as The International Competition Musica Antiqua Bruges 2016, Rome Fortepiano International Competition (Muzio Clementi Prize), Geelvinck Fortepiano Concours 2015 (Amsterdam), Stanley Hoogland Square Piano Award 2016 and 27th International Competition for Early Music in Yamanashi (Japan).
Naruhiko has a special interest in Spanish music, as demonstrated by the concert offered in Tokyo in 2014 with the title From the time of Goya, with works by Spanish composers from the classical period.
