'Music by the sea'

It is the event celebrated every year by the International Music Festival Vila de Santanyí, an outdoor concert by the sea in a beautiful spot on the coast of Mallorca, Caló d'en Busqués in Cala Figuera.

On this occasion it features the German soprano Eleonore Marguerre (Seeheim-Jugenheim, 1978), awarded in numerous singing competitions such as the Competizione dell'Opera (2004), the Concurs Leyla Gencer (2006), the Concurs Marcello Viotti (2008) and Boris Christoff (2009), among others.

In 2014 she debuted with great success at the Opera Bastille in Paris and has since worked with leading directors.

In this concert she is accompanied by the Orquestra del Festival de Música Vila de Santanyí, which is now presented in society under the direction of one of the leading conductors, Vicenç Balaguer. This new group, which is also directed by Smerald Spahiu, combines soloists of leading orchestras and of young instrumentalists who continue their training in music centers in Spain and abroad

The International Music Festival Vila de Santanyí is coordined by the pianist Miquel Estelrich and organized by the city council. Held until September and the collection of all concerts will go to social and conservation and dissemination of musical heritage of  Mallorca projects.
