Caló d'en Busques in Cala Figuera (Santanyí), one of the most protected natural fishing ports in the Balearic archipelago, is the scene of this concert, organized every year by the International Music Festival 'Vila de Santanyí'.
The concert is directed by Vicenç Balaguer, with the intervention of María José Montiel (mezzosoprano), José Manuel Sánchez (tenor), the Santanyí Festival Orchestra and the special collaboration of Mateu Matas 'Xurí', one of the most relevant exponents of The new generation of Mallorcan glossers and improvised song in the Mediterranean.
Maria José Montiel is one of the most brilliant mezzosoprano of today, winning the National Music Award 2015. For his part, Majorcan tenor José Manuel Sánchez has made his debut this season with the National Orchestra of Spain, under the direction of Juanjo Mena, after interpreting first opera roles in theaters of Austria, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic and Spain.
The 5th International Music Festival 'Vila de Santanyí' has as its resident composer the Majorcan Antoni Perera Fons, one of the most considered Spanish record producers and National Music Award 2016.
The area of art is carried out this year by Pep Coll, resident artist of the Festival who presents from May 21to July 1in the Sala Bússer the exhibition Confesions d'un pocavergonya.
