In 1962, there was a secret meeting between the actresses Marilyn Monroe and Hedy Lamarr, an exceptional woman who, in addition to being a movie star, was the inventor of the first version of a system that would allow long distance wireless communications. The principles of her work are similar to the methods used in the inherited versions of Wi-Fi.
Carles Batlle now fictionalizes this encounter, which could alter the course of the cold war, in this production of the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and Velvet events. The direction is carried out by Sergi Belbel, and is interpreted by Laura Conejero, Elisabet Casanovas, David Vert and Eloi Sánchez.
Monroe-Lamarr won the IV Premi Frederic Roda a la autoría teatral 2018, awarded by the Agrupació Dramàtica de Barcelona and the Diputació de Barcelona. Catalan language.
