Art Vocal Ensemble dedicates this concert to the figure of the composer Georg Friedrich Händel (1685-1759), one of the greatest exponents of the English Baroque. The concert is a tribute to the singer Laura Penzin, who was part of the board of directors of this formation.
The program consists of two representative works of the stylistic evolution of the German composer: Concerto for oboe in G minor and Hymn for the funeral of Queen Carolina / The ways of zion do mourn.
This last work, of profound beauty, was a tribute by Händel to his friend Carolina, then Queen of England and one of the most beloved figures of British royalty.
With the musical direction of Llorenç Gelabert Gual, the concert is performed by the choir and chamber orchestra of the Art Vocal Ensemble, Ricardo Duato (concertmaster) and Bruno Lucas (oboe soloist).
From € 11 to € 16
