'Memòries de Puerto Rico'

Núria Abad and Marta Hierro direct this MOM Works documentary in co-production with IB3, which is now premiering at Cine Ciutat. The history of the emigration of Majorcans to Puerto Rico through two families.

Carles Llull and Luis Ozonas are two Mallorcan designers who one day discover, by chance, that they are distant relatives and that they have a long history behind them, with ancestors emigrating to Puerto Rico and becoming great landowners. The family branch of one of them will keep its Puerto Rican coffee plantation until today. The other will lose the bond, but not the memories.

Carles and Luis set out on a trip to the Caribbean island to learn about their origins, which began in the 19th century when the brothers Joan and Antoni Castañer emigrated from Sóller to Puerto Rico. A story about the reunion with the past, family stories and the search for identity.
