McKellen: Playing the Part

Joe Stephenson directs McKellen: Playing the Part, 2017 documentary about the life and work of British actor Ian McKellen. An interesting portrait with videos of his great Shakespearean roles (Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Richard III ...).

Ian McKellen (Burnley, 1939), who began his professional career in 1961 as part of the cast of the Belgrade Theater, has won six Laurence Olivier awards, a Golden Globe, a Tony and, among others, two Cinematographic Critic awards .

The documentary McKellen: Tomando Partido is projected within the International Theater Day (March 27).
