The Californian trumpet player Matthew Simon leads this quintet in which also participate Mallorcan musicians. Simon has lived since 1975 in Barcelona, where he teaches trumpet and jazz music.
He has worked with formations and artists of all kinds: from Música Urbana to the legendary Tete Montoliu, through Carles Benavent, Buena Vista Social Club, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz and the Orquestra de Cambra del Teatre Lliure.
In this concert he is accompanied by Pep Garau (trumpet), Steve Bergendy (bass), Salvador Font (drums) and Toni Vaquer (piano).
