The XXXVI XXXVI Encuentro Internacional de Compositores (International Composers gathering), organized by Fundació A.C.A., dedicates this monographic concert to the Mallorcan composer Mateu Malondra (Palma, 1977). He completed graduate studies in composition at the Conservatory of Maastricht (Netherlands), where he graduated in Classical Composition in 2008 with honors.
To his extensive academic curriculum is added having worked with many ensembles and directors and participated in festivals in Spain, Egypt, Holland and England. He is currently artistic director of the festival ME_MMIX held in Palma.
Mateu Malondra works will be performed by Takao Hykatume (violin) and Tomeu Moll (piano). The program consists of Homage to Pablo Palazuelo (2006/2014), Sydus IIIb, Apposition I, II and III (2013/2015) and Sound Block II (2015).
