María Gamboa Jaramillo directs Mateo (Colombia-France, 2014), a film starring a 16-year-old boy who extorts merchants from Barrancabermeja for his uncle, a criminal boss.
Through this story, based on real experiences, Mateo and his mother find dignity when they face the structures of the armed conflict in Colombia.
Mateo is screened within the Colombian film series organized by the Palma City Council.
