Son of a Palestinian father and a Spanish mother, Marwan has become, thanks to word of mouth, one of the most famous singers in the circuit of Spanish live music venues.
No wonder the Association of Concert Halls in Madrid awarded him the Guille 2011 prize for best singer-songwriter. He has also been selected by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development to form part of the activities scheduled by embassies and cultural centers of different countries.
His music draws on sources of artists like Manu Chao, Jorge Drexler, Andrés Calamaro, Damien Rice, Quique González, Javier Ruibal, Iván Ferreiro or Bebe.
In 2004 he published Los hijos de las piedras (The children of the stones), four years later Trapecista - which has the support of Ismael Serrano in one of his songs- in 2011 Las cosas que no pude responder (The things that I could not answer) and in 2014 Apuntes sobre mi paso por el invierno (Notes on my time in the winter).
