The singer-songwriter and producer from Barcelona Marc Parrot presents the songs from his new album Els fets i l'atzar (2022) at the Barnasants international songwriting festival.
Marc Parrot (1967) began his musical career in 1990 with the group Regreso a las minas. In 1993 he began his solo career recording Solo Para Locos and Solo Para Ninos (1995).
Parrot rose to fame after playing a character at a Televisió de Catalunya New Year's Eve gala, which was dedicated to interpreting versions of old Spanish music songs. This is how the project El chaval de la peca was born, publishing his first album under this pseudonym in 1998. His first single, a version of the song Libre by Nino Bravo, came to sound like one of the songs of the summer.
In 2005, with Mentider, he released his first album in Catalan, which was followed by Interferència (2007), 50 anys de la Nova Cançó (2009) and three more albums until reaching Els fets i l'atzar, an album in which the author delves into the idea of starting over.
