Sa Rueta, Sa Sua and el Entierro de la sardina (the Burial of the sardine) are the three events of the Manacor Carnival that takes place from 8 to 13 February. It programs many activities to be enjoyed these days by children and grown-ups wearing their best costumes.
The carnival in Manacor begins with the Dijous Llarder (Thursday “lardero”) and ends on Tuesday 13 February with the burial of the sardine, the ceremony with which the end of Carnival is announced.

17:00 h. Concentration of carriages and processions in the Plaça del Rector Rubí. Parade with the batucada Manafroc.

17:30 p.m. Show for children: Trabucats. Carrer de Mercadal

In the squares and streets there will be places where you can eat.
Saturday 10
Rua
18:30 h. Concentration of disguises in the Plaça del Rector Rubí. Departure of the Manafoc batucada. Tour: Rector Rubí, Kos, Antoni Galmés and Plaça de Ramón Llull.

Great carnival party with western themes. With dj's performances:

In case of a lot of rain, the Rueta will be done on Friday 9 and the Rua on Sunday 11.

Burial of the Sardine
19:30 h. Departure of the funeral procession from the Carrer Gelabert. Itinerary: Plaça del Convent, Nou streets, Amador, s'Antigor, Foners, Pilar i Pins and Rosselló, where a sardinada will be held.
