El paisatge com a gènere pictòric a les terres de llengua catalana entre els segles XIX i XX is the title of the conference that Francesc Fontbona will give in Can Balaguer. The act will be presented by Francisca Lladó.
Francesc Fontbona (Barcelona, 1948) has a doctorate in Modern History from the University of Barcelona, where he was an adjunct professor. He is a full member of the Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi and the Institut d' Estudis Catalans, as well as an honorary member of The Hispanic Society of America, of New York, among other institutions.
He has published more than twenty works, several of them awarded, such as La crisi del Modernisme artístic (1975, Crítica 'Serra d'Or' prize for essay) or Catàleg del Museu de la Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi (I -Painting) (1999, ACCA Award).
