This exhibition in Gallery Maior of Pollença presents a selection of recent paintings and photographs of Luis Gordillo (Seville, 1934), a benchmark of pictorial creation in recent decades.
Throughout his long career, Gordillo has contacted various artistic movements, from Informalismo to Pop Art and abstraction. His work is also notable for raising new discourses that are based on his own interest in issues such as psychoanalysis, cinema and music.
Besides being part of important collections, his work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in Spain, Germany, Mexico, France and the United States and has received prestigious awards such as the National Arts Award (1981) and the National Award of Graphic art (2012).
